In March 2024, CIDMI proudly hosted a landmark symposium that brought together 17 distinguished experts representing a diverse range of fields, including molecular imaging technologies, basic science, therapeutic development, and the clinical management of infectious diseases.
Held at UCSF, the symposium served as a dynamic platform for thought leaders to present cutting-edge research and share valuable clinical perspectives. The agenda featured a series of talks and panel discussions that explored the latest advances in molecular imaging—from novel diagnostic tools and biomarkers to translational research and real-world clinical applications.
Key themes included the integration of imaging technologies with therapeutic strategies, the role of interdisciplinary collaboration in accelerating innovation, and the ongoing challenges and opportunities in managing complex infectious diseases. The event highlighted how basic science discoveries can inform and transform patient care when paired with advanced imaging and therapeutic development.
